From within our Greenpoint, NY facility we provide content creation, electronic development and production, software development, and specialty fabrication services for clients ranging from secretive startups to multinational Fortune 500 companies.

Inside our studio, installation technicians build obsessively organized equipment racks and solder wiring assemblies. Onsite, they install audio-visual components, integrate automated scenic elements, troubleshoot networking and system configuration challenges, and manage diverse client and third-party stakeholders. Installation technicians work closely alongside system design personnel to evolve our toolkits and technical practices and bounce between fast-paced event load-ins and meticulous permanent installation worksites.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills are a must as is a desire to work in a creative but technically rigorous environment. Four or more years of relevant work experience or a four-year college degree in a related field is required. You must have experience with event, theatrical, or AV installation. Proficiency with configuring and troubleshooting networking hardware, soldering and light electrical assembly, and basic carpentry are required. Experience with Vectorworks, Fusion360, TouchDesigner, BrightSign, and/or Eagle are plusses. If you have strong independent problem solving skills, a desire to help shape a small but growing company, and a willingness to get your hands dirty, you might be who we’re looking for.
Freelance Installation Technician
Developers at BeSide build robust, creative software applications in a fast paced development environment. You might help build creative touchscreen experiences one day, a social-media linked video capture experience the next, and robust mission-critical show control systems the day after that. Developers at BeSide are intimately involved in the entire process and enjoy a tight-knit collaborative environment. Reliability is also a cornerstone of our brand and this extends to the level of stability our clients demand from our technical solutions. BeSide developers are tasked with building complex interconnected applications that will work 24/7 in permanent installation environments and to work creatively and responsively with internal and external collaborators on event-specific interactive experiences. We also expect very high standards in terms of organization both in your process and in your code.
